More than 250 MHACY Senior Citizens got their second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination on March 4 at the Nodine Hill Community Center in Yonkers.

Wilson Kimball, President and CEO of the Municipal Housing Authority for Yonkers, thanked Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Department of Health.

Residents received their first vaccine from Thursday, Feb. 4 through Sunday, Feb. 7. The vaccine was administered by Sun River Health through the New York State Health Department.

“It’s so important that everyone, but especially seniors and residents in underserved communities receive this vaccine,’’ said Kimball. “We have 2,120 senior residents living in public housing who are eligible for the vaccine. We encourage all of our seniors to get vaccinated and are working actively to make that happen.’’
