Is it true that Residents who reside in RAD Developments will be issued Section 8 vouchers in the near future?

MHACY’s public housing tenants were transferred into the Project Based Section 8 program when their development was rehabilitated under HUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (“RAD”) project.  After residents (in good standing) have participated in the Project Based Section 8 program for one year, they may request a Housing Choice Voucher which they may use to relocate.  Participants in the RAD program will be given the next available voucher to relocate.
